How To Tie The Christensen Knot

Christensen is a unique tie node with low origin: it was first used by the Swedish mail order catalog as a node for pre-bonding and clip bonds, where the knot is sewn in place and will never be removed.

Tied correctly, the knot makes a stylish X shape on the collar. It tends to be tight and narrow in the center, but lies at the top and bottom, producing an hourglass type.
Secure the head of the tie longer than the tail of the tie.

Please follow these steps:

  • Take the tie head and drag it to the left over the tail and take it to the right again
  • Point the tie head upwards and put it behind the tail to form a knot.
  • Now, the head of the tie is behind the tail of the tie.
  • Bring the head tie to the left and straighten the tie's tail to keep it level with the chest.
  • Bring the tie head round to the right to the front of the tail.
  • After that, point the head of the tie back up through the back of the first node you created.
  • Insert the tip of the tie head into the sidelines of the first node fold and pull down.
  • Clear the tie and finish
